Many of our rescues arrived terrified and neglected. Some come in need of medical care. Our dedicated volunteers spend countless hours talking quietly to the cats, cuddling them, and working with them to help them learn to trust and love humans again. We rely solely on foster homes to provide loving, temporary care for our cats until we can help find them a permanent home.
All of our cats and kittens have been examined, combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated against rabies and distemper (a series of three shots for kittens, two for adults), flea treated, ear mite treatment if needed. When necessary, we even go beyond these basic needs and provide extensive medical care, including major surgeries to repair hernias, broken bones, remove cysts, etc. For elderly cats that we rescue, we do extensive blood work to check their overall health. At adoption, you will receive a free bag of Science Diet food and a voucher for a free exam with our veterinarian. In addition, you will receive resource materials to assist you in helping your cat adjust well to its new home.
We are not connected with any town, state, or federal government agency. We exist entirely through the efforts of our volunteers, and are 100% dependent upon adoption fees and the tax-deductible donations of individuals.
